Program Description:
Capital city of Nur-Sultan
The Middlebury Russian Program in Kazakhstan offers students the chance to immerse themselves in a Russian-speaking environment outside of Russia. In Almaty, the former capital, students will enroll in Middlebury-arranged courses in Russian language and culture. They also have the option to enroll in courses at Abai University, our local partner university alongside Kazakh students. Students will live with a host family, participate in program excursions, and take advantage of all that this lively city has to offer.

** Indicates rolling admission application process. Applicants who apply in the fall or winter will be notified on February 15th of the academic year preceeding study abroad. Applicants whose applicaitons are completed after February 15th (or anytime in the fall, if they are applying to study abroad during the following spring semester) will be immediately notified of acceptance into this program and be able to complete post-decision materials prior to the term's application deadline. Some Schools Abroad will fill before the deadline.
