CIEE Arts and Sciences Program in Dublin, Ireland

Write your next chapter in Dublin, where literary traditions include legends like Joyce, Swift, and Yeats. Whether your studies pull you toward business, engineering, history, journalism, or Irish studies, you’ll have plenty of choices with direct enrollment at lively Dublin City University. Beyond academics, you’ll find thousands of years of culture and heritage around every corner of this high-spirited city.

Study abroad in Dublin and you'll:

  • Travel to Northern Ireland to see how differences between Protestants/British and Nationalist/Irish communities impact daily life.
  • Study on a high-tech campus with easy access to downtown Dublin. 
  • Zoom in on Ireland’s rich heritage with orientation activities and a special CIEE course.

Established in 2005, this program is designed for students who want to continue challenging courses in their majors while they live in and learn about Ireland.

Dublin City University (DCU). Established in the early 1980s, DCU hosts 16,000 students. Its multi-disciplinary programs stimulate entrepreneurial awareness and activity through strong links with Dublin-based and international businesses. A 20- to 30-minute bus ride from downtown, the 85-acre campus has central green areas, cafés, a theater, a sports center, and library. The modern campus buzzes with 100-plus clubs and societies, an active student union, an overflowing student social events calendar, and a social center in the heart of campus.

Classes are held on the Glasnevin, St Patrick’s, and All Hallow’s campuses. where the CIEE Study Center offices are located. DCU courses are taught by faculty from Dublin City University. CIEE classes are taught by CIEE adjunct lecturers.
